1 Week Down, 15 Weeks to go...
This year I'm teaching a whole bunch of courses and it's almost like work, an eight to five job. The first week is always the hardest. After not talking all summer, my voice get a 8 hour workout for five days straight. It always makes my throat sore and makes me less than talkative at home. After talking all day I just want to sit. the first week of school always makes me a little cranky. Their are always a couple of fruitcakes I wish to strangle, or at least beat with a large stick. Students who still think their job is to get a raise out of the teacher like they are still in high school. It's times like this I feel mandatory military services after high school would be a wonderful idea. I think two year shoveling crap in a desert climate would do wonders for an 18 years old's focus.
