Ok, My Spring break is almost over. Just 3 more hours before grading papers, and listening to students tell me they didn't study for their exams because they were in Florida getting drunk.

For me the ideal vacation is sitting on my butt, catching up on my reading, watching movies, taking my wife out to lunch, and sitting in my underwear all day. (Yes, I usually dress before I take my wife out to lunch.) I also use this time to day all the stuff I forget to do during a normal life: Go to the doctor, See the dentist, See the eye doctor, get the oil changed in the car, etc...

I went to the Docotr earlier in the week for my 400,000 mile check up. I filled three vials of blood, one cup, got two shots, and had something done to me for the first that usually you have to pay extra for from some of the working girls downtown. (My doctor could have at least bought me a drink, or called me afterwards. I feel so used. :) )

Life by the numbers

Weight #275 ( I think this is unfair, because I was wearing 10 pounds worth of clothing. I checked that moring and the scale said 265.5 before screaming "GET OFF")

A1C is 6.0 Not bad, but that number has been slowing creeping up. That scares me. Last time I check it was 5.9 I think. I need to be more serious about getting rid of processed sugar out of my diet. I don't want my pancreas to burn out, because that would really suck. What I need to do is lose 100 pounds. (What I really need is a Coed to chain me to her basement wall for a month and just feed me bread and water. Summer vaction is coming up and if any of you want to make some extra cash and help a fat guy out let me know.)

HDL - 33 ... Too low needs to be around 40 to 54. Gotta do more kicks in TKD.
LDL - 73 ... Great! Zocor works! Better life through chemistry!
Total is 117 ... OMG any thinner and my blood would pour out of my body like water, but this is a good number.

Heart Rate. 77 BPM - ( Up from 66 BPM )
Blood Pressure 140/90 - (Up from 120/80) 90 is not Good.

I can do better. Just finished watching Super-Size Me this week too. I gotta stop eating at McDonald's. Since I'm weak, I'll shoot for only once a month.

Bottom line is I've been slacking off the last 6 months and I need to be more scared and watch my health.
